The project included the detailed investigation and design services for the recommended improvements from Phase 1 preliminary study of Al Bateen Airport. The Phase I improvements allowed for the conversion of Al Bateen Airport from military use to civilian use to meet requirements of the International Civil Aeronautics Organization (ICAO) and the Civil Aviation Regulations of the UAE, as adopted by the General Aviation Authority (GCAA).
