RW Armstrong provided Concept Design for the border post at Al Gweifat, located at the western border line between United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.  

The project forms a new gateway that accommodates formal checkpoints for Cars, Busses, Lorries, Cargo and Passengers Pass Permit Points, including all required operation spaces, services and equipment, management facilities, offices, passengers’ halls, waiting areas, permit counters, control points, service rooms, storage spaces, holding areas, amenities…etc., theatre spaces, cafeterias and offices.  

It includes Passengers’ Rest Facilities and Oasis, with associated Restaurants, Duty free Shops, Bank outlets, Fast Food concessions and other relevant Amenities and Toilets.  

The project design forms an iconic entry gateway, with State of the Art Architecture and most advanced service and operation methods. The new facility embraces Airport experience, with comfortable environment, welcoming mood and shall be User-friendly.
